Edition 2025 — Brüsom la Vecia
In 2025, the oratory of Calcinatello once again renewed the tradition of Brüsom la Vecia, with the food stand offering bread and salami and the rite of burning the Old Woman. An evening of popular celebration that brought together the community of the Calcinato hamlet around the bonfire, following the traditions of the province of Brescia.
The 2025 edition of Brüsom la Vecia revived the usual evening event at the oratory of Calcinatello: the opening of the food stand with bread and salami and the rite of burning the "Vecia", the bonfire that burns the effigy of the Old Woman to bid farewell to winter. A deeply rooted popular tradition, capable of bringing together the town's families in an atmosphere of conviviality and peasant memory.
