About Brugora in Festa
The festival of a small hamlet
Brugora in Festa is the popular festival of the hamlet of Brugora, in the Municipality of Besana in Brianza, in the Province of Monza and Brianza. Brought back to life in 1992 by a group of residents, and linked to the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on June 29th, it has since marked the start of summer for the village inhabitants.
Music, gastronomy, and community
The festival traditionally takes place in the third decade of June, on via Cavour, and offers a programme that combines conviviality and fun: live music, food stalls, bar service, a lottery, and entertainment for the little ones, such as face painting. A simple and proven formula, capable of attracting residents and visitors from the surrounding areas in a village festival atmosphere.
Thirty years of tradition
Organised by the association Brugora in Festa, the event is an example of how even a small hamlet can preserve and renew its traditions. Over three decades of editions have made this event an anticipated moment in Besana in Brianza's summer calendar, where the community comes together around the patron saint's feast and good food.
