Briganti in Festa & 30th Sausage Festival 2025
The 2025 edition took place on Wednesday, August 13th in the historic center of Celenza Valfortore, starting at 5:30 PM and continuing until dawn. The village relived the atmosphere of the past with the suspension of the euro and the return of the local currency, while costumed actors portrayed brigands, peasants, soldiers, and knights amidst theatrical scenes and ironic "extortions".
The absolute star was the 30th Sausage Festival, with stalls dedicated to grilled sausage, typical dishes, and local wine, while the Torre and Convento districts competed for the Palio. The evening concluded with the performance of the Tamburellisti di Torrepaduli, who brought the pizzica and the rhythm of the popular tradition until late at night, amidst folk music and street performers.
