Cinema along the river
The Bridge Film Festival is a film event that takes place every July in Verona, in the Filippini district, along the banks of the Adige River. The heart of the festival is the Antica Dogana di fiume (Old River Customs House), a splendid 18th-century structure managed by the Corte Dogana and Canoa Club Verona associations, alongside the Teatro Satiro Off and the Ex Macello (Old Slaughterhouse), two spaces of great importance for the life of the district.
An international and thematic programme
Each edition revolves around a theme that runs through films, talks, and meetings. The programme is divided into several sections — Long film, Short film, Coming of Age, Experimenta, Tomorrow's Journey, and Baby Cocai — and features feature films, short films, and documentaries from around the world, alongside concerts, masterclasses, and performances.

With its outdoor and free formula, the Bridge Film Festival has become a landmark for independent cinema in Verona, in the province of Verona (Veneto Region). Bridge Film Festival — edition 2026
The 13th edition of the Bridge Film Festival takes place in the second week of July 2026 (approximately July 7-11) in the Filippini district of Verona. The theme of the edition is 'Skincare. I want a wonderful skin', a quote from a song by the Italian band Afterhours, and revolves around the concept of appearance. Five days of cinema in three venues along the Adige River, with the deadline for submissions set for April 7, 2026.
