Bread and Oil at the Mill

The 13th edition of Bread and Oil at the Mill brought Cassano delle Murge to life from November 17 to 23, 2025. For a full week, the town celebrated freshly pressed extra virgin olive oil and the bread of the peasant civilization, with mills open for guided tours and tastings of the new oil.

Key events included the competition for the best oil with a jury of tasters, folk dances, entertainment and workshops for children, and the oil painting exhibition created by local school students, set up in Piazza Aldo Moro. There were also excursions with trekking towards caves and environmental visits in the Alta Murgia National Park, as well as musical performances in the Cinema Vittoria. The event, promoted by the Municipality of Cassano delle Murge, a member of the Oil Cities association, confirmed itself as a free-admission event for all ages.
