Boza! The Mediterranean Resounds

The 2025 edition of Boza! The Mediterranean Resounds took place in Lampedusa from March 19 to 22, 2025, as part of the 21st Week of Action Against Racism promoted by UNAR. Organized by Mediterranean Hope (FCEI) together with the music therapy project Music&Resilience, it involved the entire island community.

The program alternated between various locations across the town: musical readings at the IBBY library and singing circles on the first day; photography and music therapy ('Radici Sonore') workshops on March 20; podcasting ('Onde Libere'), music workshops, and 'Canti dal Mare' at Porto M on March 21. The festival concluded on March 22 with 'Musica in Circolo' at the 'Mpidusa farm, 'Canti Erranti' — a wandering serenade — and the grand BOZA! closing party in Piazza Castello. Among the artists and facilitators: Doudou Diouf, Pino D'Aietti, Giacomo Sferlazzo, Pippo Fragapane, George Kouagang, Martina Licata, and Tanja Boukal.
