Edition 2025 — Borgosesia Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Borgosesia Carnival confirmed the long tradition of the historic Valsesia carnival, with parades of allegorical floats, masked groups, and bands along the streets of the center, and the usual culmination in the Mercu Scûrot on Ash Wednesday. A month of free popular festivities in the town of Borgosesia, in the province of Vercelli.

In 2025, the Borgosesia Carnival once again enlivened the center of the Piedmontese town in the province of Vercelli for weeks. The protagonists were the grand masked processions with the districts' allegorical floats, the traditional masks of Peru Magunella and Gin Fiammàa, as well as evenings, dances, and gastronomic events. The event concluded, as tradition dictates, with the Mercu Scûrot, the evocative Ash Wednesday funeral procession that accompanies the mask to the pyre. Admission to the parades was free.
