Borgo in Musica 2025 — the 15th edition

The fifteenth edition of Borgo in Musica in San Marco d'Alunzio (Messina) concluded on September 4, 2025, with record-breaking results. For about a month and a half, the Nebrodi village was transformed into an open-air summer academy, welcoming over two hundred students for masterclasses, campus sessions, and seminars.

On the educational front, internationally renowned musicians such as Patrick Messina, Daniel Thomas, Simon Diricq, Julien Beaudiment, Gorka Hermosa, and Roberto Basile provided instruction. There was a strong focus on national competitions for clarinet and bass clarinet, with prizes and scholarships awarded to the best young performers. The 'Notti al Castello' series featured concerts with string quartets, wind bands, a recital by Gorka Hermosa, and the production of 'Peter and the Wolf'. The edition was crowned by the awarding of the Borgo in Musica Prize to the most promising talents.
