Borghi dei Tesori Fest 2025 in Sant'Angelo Muxaro

The 2025 edition of Borghi dei Tesori Fest involved dozens of Sicilian towns over three weekends in May, with Sant'Angelo Muxaro among the featured villages. The town, perched on a hill in the Platani valley in the Agrigento province, opened its extraordinary archaeological heritage to the public.

Guided tours accompanied visitors through the natural cavities of the hill, the Grotticelle rock-cut necropolis, and the domed Prince's Tomb, up to the village's archaeological museum. The narrative focused on the long history of Sant'Angelo Muxaro, from the Sicani to the Middle Ages, and the connection to the myth of Daedalus and King Kokalos.
