Borghi dei Tesori Fest — Balestrate stop

On May 3 and 4, 2025, Balestrate returned as one of the protagonists of the Borghi dei Tesori Fest, during the weekend that also saw the opening of Montelepre, Mezzojuso, and Contessa Entellina. For the village in the province of Palermo, it was the third consecutive participation in the Le Vie dei Tesori Foundation circuit.

The program featured an open-air museum to discover the town's maritime origins with a walk suitable for children, a visit to the Mother Church with its precious volumes, and the path towards the mouth of the Jato river where an ancient Roman kiln was found. Among the experiences, a tropical tour through flowering mango fields with tastings, a visit to the Calatubo valley with the castle and the "Cuba delle rose", a historic cellar, and a sea tour to discover the cuttlefish, a gastronomic symbol of the village. The weekend was completed by an artistic Easter nativity scene inspired by the Neapolitan tradition.
