Edition 2025 — Boom Book Fest

The third edition of the Boom Book Fest took place from September 25th to 28th, 2025, with Melendugno and the hamlet of Borgagne transformed for four days into Salento's capitals of children's literature. The festival, organized by the L'albero delle parole Association, featured read-aloud sessions, meetings with authors, workshops, exhibitions, and a stage of the National Poetry Slam Championship, preceded by days dedicated to schools.

Boom Book Fest 2025

The third edition of the Boom Book Fest was held from September 25th to 28th, 2025, in Melendugno and the hamlet of Borgagne, in the province of Lecce. The inauguration took place on Thursday, September 25th, in Piazza Pertini, with readings, shows, and entertainment, followed in the evening by a meeting with children's poet Bruno Tognolini.

The program involved authors and illustrators such as Gianluca Caporaso, Paola Vitale, Matteo Sabato, Roberta Marsano, Francesco Cuna, and Fausto Romano. Highlights included the pop-up book exhibition at the Rina Durante Cultural Centre, creative workshops, interactive shows, activities for schools, and a stage of the National Poetry Slam Championship. The artistic direction was curated by Martina Calò and Roberta Marsano, with the support of the Municipality of Melendugno. The main festival was preceded by days reserved for students on September 17th, 23rd, and 24th.

Programme

Thursday, September 25th: inauguration in Piazza Pertini with readings, shows, and entertainment; evening meeting with Bruno Tognolini. Following days: meetings with authors and illustrators (Gianluca Caporaso, Paola Vitale, Matteo Sabato, Roberta Marsano, Francesco Cuna, Fausto Romano), creative workshops, interactive shows, pop-up book exhibition at the Rina Durante Cultural Centre, and a stage of the National Poetry Slam Championship, between Melendugno and Borgagne.
