Bonfire of the Giubiana of Giussano

In 2025, the Giubiana of Giussano confirmed its strength as a popular tradition. The procession, accompanied by the town bands, crossed the center to Nicholas Green Park, where the bonfire of the winter witch effigy was lit, a propitiatory ritual for the end of winter.

As is customary, the Alpini distributed risotto with luganega sausage, while the hamlets of Giussano lit their own bonfires. An evening that combined folklore, spectacle, and community, confirming the Giubiana as one of the identity events of the Municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza.
