Bonfire of Our Lady of Loreto

The Bonfire of Our Lady of Loreto in Bolognola took place in 2025 on Tuesday, December 9th, on the eve of the feast of the Coming of the Holy House celebrated on December 10th. As per centuries-old tradition, the evening was marked by the lighting of the great bonfire, around which the community of the Macerata village gathered for the usual moment of prayer and conviviality.

The 2025 edition was part of the widespread network of bonfires lit throughout the Marche and much of Umbria on the night between December 9th and 10th, a tradition that in Bolognola, as in other villages of the Sibillini Mountains, keeps alive a heritage of popular faith and mountain identity.
