Edition 2025 — Bonfire Festival

The 2025 edition of the Bonfire Festival was held on Saturday, May 3rd, and Sunday, May 4th, in Rocca San Casciano, the capital of Romagna-Toscana. Along the banks of the Montone river, amidst the fervent cheers of the Borgo and Mercato districts, the majestic broom bonfires burned, enveloped in a captivating fireworks display. After the magic of the fire and the "Botti" challenge, the celebration moved towards Piazza Garibaldi with parades of allegorical floats and hundreds of costumed figures.

On Saturday, May 3rd, and Sunday, May 4th, 2025, Rocca San Casciano relived its centuries-old tradition. On the banks of the Montone, the two districts, Borgo and Mercato, erected and lit their gigantic "spini" bonfires, immersed in a truly magical atmosphere.

The best lighting was not determined by an official jury, but by the gazes and comments of the locals: the way the bonfire "closed", the speed, and the height of the flames were the decisive factors. After the fire, it was time for the "Botti", the pyrotechnic challenge between the districts, and then the party moved to Piazza Garibaldi amidst allegorical floats and hundreds of costumes.
