Bologna Jazz Festival

The Bologna Jazz Festival 2025 marked one of the richest editions in the festival's history: 39 days of music, from October 9 to November 16, with over 80 events including concerts, screenings, conferences, and educational activities, extending beyond the Municipality of Bologna to the cities of Ferrara and Forlì.

The stage featured major international jazz protagonists: drummer Billy Cobham (October 28), guitarist Mary Halvorson (November 2), the voice of Dee Dee Bridgewater (November 4), and pianist Monty Alexander (November 13). At the Camera Jazz & Music Club, performances included, among others, the trio of pianist Sullivan Fortner, the quintet of drummer Johnathan Blake, pianist and singer Champian Fulton, and saxophonist Kassa Overall.

The edition, organized by Fondazione Bologna in Musica ETS with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Municipality of Bologna as part of Bologna UNESCO City of Music, complemented the concerts with an extensive educational and outreach project featuring exhibitions, concert-lectures, and workshops.
