Edition 2025 — Bologna Estate

The 2025 edition celebrated the twentieth anniversary of Bologna Estate with 383 projects on the programme, 194 in the city and 189 in the province, largely free. Among the most popular events: Sotto le stelle del cinema in Piazza Maggiore, Repubblica delle Idee, the Filuzzi on August 14, and the Festival Francescano dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of the Creatures.

In 2025, Bologna Estate celebrated its twentieth anniversary with a programme of 383 projects for all audiences, 194 in the capital and 189 in the municipalities of the Metropolitan City, largely free. From May 16 to September 28, Piazza Maggiore hosted Sotto le stelle del cinema (June 16-August 14), combined for the first time with afternoon screenings at Cinema Modernissimo, the 2025 edition of Repubblica delle Idee, and, on August 14, the great popular festival of Filuzzi in Piazza. Closing the season, from September 25 to 28, was the 17th edition of the Festival Francescano, dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of the Creatures.
