Bologna Children's Book Fair

The 62nd edition of the Bologna Children's Book Fair brought together around 1,500 exhibitors from more than 90 countries and regions at BolognaFiere, with numerous international debuts (including Albania, Azerbaijan, Ecuador, Georgia, Iceland, Malta, North Macedonia, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and Thailand).

Estonia was the Guest of Honour country, celebrated for its dynamic publishing market with the exhibitions "Hello!/Tere!" and "25 Best Designed Estonian Books". Among the most anticipated guests were Daniel Pennac, Jeff Kinney, Beatrice Alemagna, Altan (for the 50th anniversary of Pimpa), Paul Cox, and Sydney Smith, winner of the 2024 H.C. Andersen Award. The edition celebrated the 60th anniversary of the BolognaRagazzi Awards and the 10th anniversary of the Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi, with the city-wide festival BOOM! bringing over 40 exhibitions and 150 events to the city.
