Edition 2025 — BIG! Award

The first edition of the BIG! - Francesco Di Giacomo Award was held on July 11 and 12, 2025, in the Hanging Garden of Palazzo Rospigliosi in Zagarolo, near Rome. Six finalist bands performed on stage with their own tracks and reinterpretations of Francesco Di Giacomo's repertoire: Light Pole won, ahead of Pillheads.

The first edition

The inaugural edition of the award took place on July 11 and 12, 2025, in the setting of the Hanging Garden of Palazzo Rospigliosi in Zagarolo, in the Metropolitan City of Rome, with the support of the Municipality and the ZdB label.

The six finalist bands were Light Pole, Heartache, and LCD (Friday, July 11) and Pillheads, Ghost on Mars, and I Marana (Saturday, July 12). Each group presented an original composition and a reinterpretation of Francesco Di Giacomo's repertoire.

The first prize went to Light Pole, who also won the award for best performance and best arrangement; Pillheads came in second. Numerous guests took the stage, including Gianni Nocenzi, Petra Magoni, Peppe Servillo, and Patrizio Fariselli, accompanied by the Resident BIG! Band.
