Edition 2025 — BIG Festival

The eleventh edition of the BIG – Bari International Gender Festival, titled "BIG CHAOS," took place in Bari from October 31 to December 5, 2025. A month and a half of cinema, dance, theater, performance, and contemporary art, using "disorder" as a lens to explore artistic activism and political engagement. The program spanned the city's main cultural spaces, from Teatro Kismet to Spazio Murat, and the Corrado Giaquinto Metropolitan Art Gallery.

BIG CHAOS – Eleventh edition

The 2025 edition of the BIG – Bari International Gender Festival, titled "BIG CHAOS", was held in Bari from October 31 to December 5, 2025. The theme of "disorder" permeated the entire lineup, questioning the purpose of an artistic festival in a time marked by war and conflict, bridging transfeminism, decolonization, intersectionality, and ecology.

Highlights included: the Italian premiere of "Thirama" by Alexis Vassiliou on the opening night, performances by YAV, Habibitch, Trevoga, Kinkaleri, and Balletto Civile, and the grand finale on December 5 with "Il Terzo Reich" by Romeo Castellucci. Venues included Teatro Kismet, Spazio Murat, Spazio 13, Teatro Abeliano, Teatro Kursaal Santalucia, and the Corrado Giaquinto Metropolitan Art Gallery, confirming the festival's widespread presence in the Municipality of Bari, Puglia.

November 15: Trevoga - "11 3 8 7 (Rebody)". November 21-22: Kinkaleri - "Some dances on dickfaces". November 28: Balletto Civile - "Davidson". December 2: "Temporale {a lesbian tragedy}". December 5: Romeo Castellucci - "Il Terzo Reich".
