Edition 2025 — Bibbiena Historical Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Bibbiena Historical Carnival took place from Saturday, March 1 to Tuesday, March 4, with Elena Lippi playing the role of the Mea and Gabriele Bertelli as her fiancé Cecco. New features included a map to navigate the festival locations and the "Mea coin," which could be used as a souvenir or to purchase food and drinks during the event.

The 2025 edition opened on Saturday, March 1 with the planting of the juniper tree at the Bosco di Casina, a symbol of the festival, followed in the afternoon by medieval games and the presentation of the book "Sacre Ossa" on the origins of the event, held in the Bibbiena town council hall.

On Sunday, March 2, the historic center hosted theatrical performances, falconry displays, flag-wavers, and entertainment in Piazza Tarlati and the Cloister of San Lorenzo, featuring the re-enactment of the Mea legend.

The festival concluded on Tuesday, March 4 in Piazza Tarlati with the burning of the "bello pomo," an ancient symbol of peace between the two districts of the Casentino village. Among the year's novelties was the "Mea coin," to be kept as a souvenir or spent during the event.
