Edition 2025 — Betlemme al Borgo

The fourth edition of "Betlemme al Borgo" took place on Friday, December 26, and Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the village of Serritella, Volturino. A large-scale living nativity scene featuring over 250 performers in various stations and dozens of animals: from the Roman soldiers' camp to the Temple, from the carpenter to the potter, from the shepherds to the Magi's Tent, and finally Herod's Palace in the ancient medieval convent. Every evening at 7:30 PM, the performance of the birth of Jesus and the arrival of the Magi took place.

Betlemme al Borgo 2025

The fourth edition of "Betlemme al Borgo" was held on Friday, December 26, and Saturday, December 27, 2025, in the village of Serritella, at the foot of Volturino (FG), in the Daunian Mountains. The route opened from 5:30 PM, with over 250 performers and dozens of animals bringing the various scenes to life: the Roman camp, ancient craft workshops, shepherds, the Magi's Tent, and Herod's Palace.

The historical reenactment group Legio V Alaudae and the Zampognari of San Marco in Lamis participated in the event. Every evening at 7:30 PM, the performance of the birth of Jesus and the arrival of the Three Wise Men took place, amidst lights and music. There was also a gastronomic itinerary with traditional dishes from the Daunian Mountains, while the area was served by dedicated parking and shuttle buses.

Programme

Friday, December 26, and Saturday, December 27, 2025. Route opening from 5:30 PM. Over 250 performers and animals in the nativity scenes: Roman camp, Temple, ancient craft workshops (carpenter, potter), shepherds, Magi's Tent, Herod's Palace in the ancient medieval convent. Participation of the Legio V Alaudae historical reenactment group and the Zampognari of San Marco in Lamis. Performance of the birth of Jesus and the arrival of the Three Wise Men every evening at 7:30 PM. Gastronomic itinerary with traditional Daunian Mountains dishes.
