Edition 2025 — Benedictine Celebrations

The 2025 Benedictine Celebrations honored Saint Benedict of Norcia around March 21st, the liturgical feast day of the Patron of Europe. As tradition dictates, the arrival of the Benedictine Torch from Cassino opened the celebrations, followed by the solemn mass, the historical procession, and the procession through Norcia's historic center, in the presence of civil and religious authorities.

In 2025, Norcia once again celebrated Saint Benedict, Patron of Europe, around March 21st. The ritual of the Benedictine Torch "Pro Pace et Europa Una" — which arrived from Cassino after its usual journey through Subiaco and Rieti — opened the Celebrations, carrying the message of peace and European unity linked to the figure of the saint.

The religious celebrations, including the solemn mass, the historical procession, and the procession through the historic center, reaffirmed the deep bond of the Norcian community with its most illustrious saint, in a path of rebirth for the city after the 2016 earthquake.
