Befana Descent 2025

The 2025 edition of the Befana Descent confirmed the great appeal of this Roseto tradition for Epiphany. In Piazza della Repubblica, in front of a large crowd of families and children, the Befanas rappelled from the Chiesa dell'Assunta bell tower.

Among them, as a surprise, was Mayor Mario Nugnes, who donned the Befana costume for the classic descent from the bell tower. Once on the ground, all the Befanas, together with the mayor, flooded the square distributing sweets and candies to the children, turning a day with uncertain weather into a moment of collective celebration.

The initiative, promoted by the municipal administration, represented the final event of the rich Christmas calendar of Roseto degli Abruzzi.
