Craft beer arrives in Sotto il Monte
Beergamo is the new Craft Beer Festival debuting in Sotto il Monte Giovanni XXIII, a municipality in the Isola Bergamasca area, in the Province of Bergamo. The event takes place at the Palatenda set up in Piazza Santa Maria and offers a weekend entirely dedicated to beer culture.
Beers from around the world, on tap and bottled
The program focuses on a selection of craft beers from various countries, with the best productions served on tap and in bottles. Among the offerings, there's the possibility to customize glasses and goblets, a detail designed for enthusiasts who want to take home a souvenir of the festival. There is also a guided tasting workshop, by reservation, to learn how to recognize styles and aromas.
Cuisine and conviviality
In addition to the pouring, the Palatenda hosts the catering service, also open for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays, in a convivial atmosphere sheltered by the tent. The formula thus combines tasting, gastronomy, and socialising, in the tradition of beer festivals that liven up the Bergamo plain.
A debut in the Isola Bergamasca
For Sotto il Monte, a pilgrimage destination linked to the figure of Pope Roncalli, Beergamo represents a new event that expands the range of local events in the Isola area, alongside the historical events of the town and the local Pro Loco.
Beergamo — edition 2026
The inaugural edition of Beergamo opens the calendar of Bergamo beer festivals from April 24 to 26, 2026, at the Palatenda in Piazza Santa Maria in Sotto il Monte Giovanni XXIII (BG). The program alternates pouring of craft beers from around the world, gastronomy, and moments dedicated to tasting.
The opening day, Friday the 24th, starts in the afternoon and continues late into the night; on Saturday the 25th and Sunday the 26th, activities begin in the late morning, with service also at lunchtime. Saturday afternoon features a guided tasting workshop, while Sunday concludes with the counting of tokens and a raffle related to the breweries present.

- 11:30 AM - Festival start, stand opening

- Catering service for lunch and dinner, pouring until 1:00 AM
Sunday, April 26
- 11:30 AM - Opening, lunch service
- 6:00 PM - Token counting and brewery raffle
- Closing at 11:00 PM
