Edition 2025 — Bàtare Marso
In 2025, Bàtare Marso once again brought the rite of the ancient Venetian New Year to Montecchio Maggiore: in Piazza Marconi, the two processions in peasant attire, which departed from Largo Boschetti and Via Parri, celebrated the awakening of the land with songs, traditional music, street games, and tastings of peasant flavours like sopressa, poenta and scopeton.
The 2025 edition of Bàtare Marso confirmed in Montecchio Maggiore the re-enactment of the ancient Venetian New Year, organized by the Pro Loco Alte Montecchio. In Piazza Marconi, the two processions of participants in peasant attire celebrated the rite of awakening the land with traditional music, street games, and tastings of traditional Venetian peasant dishes.
