Edition 2025 — Batailles de Reines Champillon

During the summer of 2025, the Champillon pasture in Doues once again hosted its elimination round for the Batailles de Reines, with Aosta Valley cows starring in the traditional pasture fights. The day, valid for qualification to the Regional Final, drew owners and enthusiasts to the pastures at the foot of the Grand Combin, amidst traditional sport and local gastronomy.

The 2025 Doues-Champillon elimination confirmed the charm of one of the most characteristic summer stages of the Batailles de Reines. On the Champillon pasture, a natural high-altitude amphitheatre in the municipality of Doues, the Aosta Valley queens battled with their horns in the ritualistic contests that select the finalists for the Regional Competition. Alongside the competition, the day featured the weighing of the cows, lunch with local products, and moments of conviviality that make this elimination a true Aosta Valley mountain festival, an integral part of the region's rural identity.
