Edition 2025 — Basula Fest

The 2025 edition of Basula Fest took place on April 25th at Parco di Cosentini in Santa Venerina, in the province of Catania. A free day of folk music, dance, and Sicilian gastronomy, with the tambourine as the protagonist and the presence of artists from the Southern Italian traditional scene, in an atmosphere of celebration and community gathering on the slopes of Mount Etna.

Basula Fest 2025

On April 25, 2025, Parco di Cosentini in Santa Venerina (CT) hosted a new edition of Basula Fest, the folk music festival organized by the Associazione Linera in Movimento. Faithful to its tradition, the day was confirmed to be free to enter, with folk and Mediterranean music concerts, tammurriata, shared dances, and jam sessions open to musicians and enthusiasts.

The tambourine, the event's signature instrument, served as a common thread between the various appointments, accompanied by Sicilian gastronomy stands with grilled sausage, traditional dishes, beer, and local wine. A day of celebration and community gathering that confirmed Basula Fest as a reference point for traditional music on the Etna side.
