Edition 2025 — Bassa Centrico in Brescello

The Bassa Centrico Festival is a newly established event: its first edition took place from May 30 to June 2, 2026. In 2025, there was no festival of the same name, but Brescello and the Bassa Reggiana already offered a rich spring calendar — visits to the Museums of Peppone and Don Camillo and the Archaeological Museum, events in the historic center, and cultural initiatives along the Po River — which formed the foundation from which the festival later grew.

The Bassa Centrico Festival is a newly established event, with its first edition held in 2026. In 2025, there wasn't yet a distributed review with this name uniting the eight municipalities of the Bassa Reggiana Union. However, in Brescello, in the province of Reggio Emilia, the cultural experiences that the festival later networked were already active and accessible: the Museum of Peppone and Don Camillo, the exhibition space dedicated to Guareschi, and the Archaeological Museum of ancient Roman Brixellum, along with events in the historic center related to "Mondo Piccolo." This fabric of offerings, combined with the valorization of the Lands of the Po and the Gonzaga, formed the basis on which the Bassa Centrico Festival was born in 2026.
