Barrel Race

The 2025 edition of the Barrel Race was held in Costacciaro from October 17th to 19th. The two barrels, pushed by teams of barrel makers, competed along the approximately 650-meter route in the historic center, in multiple timed heats. The festival was enlivened by the costume parade with figures re-enacting scenes of peasant life and by the taverns offering chestnuts and new wine, in the traditional atmosphere linked to the San Martino occasion.

Three days of festivities with the opening of taverns in the village (chestnuts and new wine), a costume parade with figures re-enacting scenes of peasant life, and the race between the two barrels pushed by teams of barrel makers, divided into multiple timed heats.
