Barrea Artistic Nativity Scene

From December 20, 2025, to January 7, 2026, the village of Barrea, in the province of L'Aquila, hosted a new edition of its Artistic Nativity Scene, set up inside Palazzo Biagio Di Loreto on Piazza Umberto I.

The exhibition, open daily from 10:00 to 20:30 with free admission, showcased the Nativity with life-sized plaster and jute statues, from the Annunciation to the birth of Jesus, enriched by objects of peasant tradition. The initiative was promoted by the Amici del Presepe di Barrea Association, the Municipality, and the Borghi Autentici d'Italia network, confirming the tradition started in 1987 in the heart of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park.
