Bancarella Sport Award

The 62nd edition of the Bancarella Sport Award concluded on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Pontremoli, at Piazza della Repubblica, with the victory of Gianluigi Buffon. The 2006 World Cup champion won the award with his autobiography "Cadere, rialzarsi, cadere, rialzarsi", published by Mondadori, receiving 193 votes from independent booksellers and the technical jury composed of sports journalists and Panathlon members. The public vote count was certified by a notary, in accordance with the award's tradition, and Buffon was presented with the San Giovanni di Dio statuette, the symbol of the Pontremoli Booksellers.
