Edition 2025 — Balzola Carnival

In 2025, the Balzola Carnival once again enlivened the Monferrato village with its customary masquerade ball and allegorical parade through the streets, as part of the major Borghi in Maschera circuit that involves dozens of Piedmontese municipalities between Vercelli, Alessandria, and Pavia every year. Masked groups, colorful floats, and great popular participation confirmed the vitality of a tradition that is entirely free and deeply rooted in the Balzola community.

The 2025 edition of the Balzola Carnival renewed the most anticipated winter event for the small town in the province of Alessandria. As per tradition, the festival combined the masquerade ball and the allegorical parade through the streets of the historic center, with the village's district groups competing with costumes and floats.

The event, with free admission, was part of the Borghi in Maschera circuit promoted by the Borghi delle Vie d'Acqua association, confirming Balzola as one of the stops on the decentralized carnival of the Monferrato and the Piedmontese rice-growing plain. Organization by the Parish, the Municipality of Balzola, and the Pro Loco Rimbalzolando.
