Edition 2025 — Avola Openwater

The 2025 edition of Avola Openwater took place on Sunday, September 7, at Lido Eden in Avola, in the heart of the Syracuse Ionian coast. The Grand Prix Sicilia Openwater stage featured the usual format with the 5 km Classic, the Mile, and the fast relay, attracting master and competitive swimmers from various Sicilian clubs for a day also dedicated to the memory of swimmer Nino Micali.

The 2025 Edition

On September 7, 2025, Lido Eden in Avola hosted a new stage of the Grand Prix Sicilia Openwater. The day, immersed in the summer atmosphere of the Ionian coast, saw numerous swimmers at the start for the 5 km, Mile, and fast relay distances.

The 2025 edition was also marked by a moving moment, with a dedication to the memory of swimmer Nino Micali, remembered by the Sicilian sporting community. Between sport and conviviality, the day confirmed Avola Openwater as one of the most heartfelt open-water swimming events in the province of Syracuse.
