Santa Croce Carnival 2025

In 2025, the Author's Carnival of Santa Croce sull'Arno took place over three consecutive Sundays — February 16th, February 23rd, and March 2nd — with a backup date set for March 9th. As per tradition, the parades started at 3:30 PM from Piazza Matteotti, winding through the streets of the center amidst music, confetti, and the unmistakable handcrafted leather masks.

The four historic groups — Nuova Luna, Nuovo Astro, La Lupa, and Gli Spensierati — competed for the annual winner's title, which was announced on the final day. This edition marked the return of the entrance fee for the parades, a decision made to support the work of volunteers and carnival makers.
