Edition 2025 — Aurer Orgelsommer
The 11th edition of the Aurer Orgelsommer 2025 confirmed the formula that makes the Ora/Auer festival in South Tyrol so special: evening concerts in the Church of San Pietro, performed on the ancient 1599 Schwarzenbach organ, the oldest playable instrument in the province. Between August and September, renowned organists from Germany and abroad — sometimes accompanied by solo voices and period instruments — guided the audience through the sonic world of the Renaissance and early Baroque, highlighting the instrument's meantone temperament (A4 at 415 Hz).
As every year, the program also included the Orgelwanderung, the musical walk between the Peterskirche, the Marienkirche, and Schloss Auer, with short concerts at each stop. The event was curated by the Orgelmusik Auer association, chaired by Tobias Simonini.
