Saslong Classic 2025: the 58th edition
The men's Alpine Ski World Cup returned to Val Gardena on December 19 and 20, 2025, for the 58th Saslong Classic, with the Super-G held on Friday and the classic downhill on Saturday on the Saslong slope, between Selva and Santa Cristina.
In the downhill, Swiss skier Franjo von Allmen triumphed ahead of his compatriot Marco Odermatt and the Italian Florian Schieder, who reached the podium in front of his home crowd. Strong performances were also delivered by Dominik Paris and Mattia Casse. The DOLOMITES Val Gardena Südtirol Ski Trophy, awarded to the athlete with the most points in the valley's races, went to Bryce Bennett.
As per tradition, the official ceremonies and the bib draw enlivened Piazza Sant'Antonio in Ortisei, in the heart of South Tyrol, confirming the strong bond between the town and one of the most prestigious events in Italian winter sports.
