Assedio - Countercultures and Public Space

After its debut in 2023 at the former Ospedale Estense, Assedio - Countercultures and Public Space returned to Modena with its second edition, consolidating its identity as a festival dedicated to independent publishing and urban cultures. The event, curated by URBANER and produced by Mo' Better Football, brought together off-the-beaten-path publishers, collectives, and self-productions in a fair accompanied by talks, presentations, exhibitions, and concerts.

On the theme of countercultures and public space, the edition fostered dialogue between graffiti writing, muralism, ultras culture, skateboarding, tattoos, and a music lineup spanning punk and hardcore, anticipating the multi-venue format that characterizes the Modena festival. An important step in the growth of a project rooted in the cultural fabric of Emilia-Romagna.
