Edition 2025 — Art and Collecting
Second edition at Palazzo Barberini
From September 18 to 23, 2025, Palazzo Barberini hosted the second edition of Art and Collecting in Rome, promoted by the Italian Antiquarians Association chaired by Bruno Botticelli. The number of exhibitors rose to 63, compared to 45 at the 2023 debut at Palazzo Brancaccio, with names such as Colnaghi, Gian Enzo Sperone, Galleria Russo, and Botticelli Antichità.
The path spanned two millennia of art history, from Roman antiquity to contemporary works, with pieces by Francesco Hayez, Antonio Canova, Giacomo Balla, Medardo Rosso, Arnaldo Pomodoro, and Dan Flavin. The press conference and gala dinner were held on September 18, the preview reserved for museum directors, curators, collectors, and institutions on the 19th; from September 20 to 22, the opening to the public was from 11:00 to 20:30, with closing on September 23 at 18:00. The edition was the first Italian antique fair to operate with the 5% reduced VAT rate on artworks.
