Edition 2025 — AIFF
The 2025 edition of the AIFF was one of the richest in the festival's history. The week opened with a masterclass by director Matteo Garrone, followed in the following days by meetings with Italian and international actors and authors, including Chiara Iezzi, Sadie Frost, Stephen Campbell Moore, Lyndsey Marshal, and Raffaello De Gruttola.
The competition brought together more than fifty works in the three sections AIFF World, AIFF Green, and Made in Campania, accompanied by the MaInvano photography competition, AIFF Books events, and seminars dedicated to the relationship between cinema and mathematics.
The gala evening, hosted by Franco Oppini and Emanuela Tittocchia, awarded the Hirpus d'Oro: among the winners were 'Norma Dorma' by Lorenz Suter for best feature film, 'Rochelle' by Tom Furniss for best short film, 'Roman Kostomarov: Born Twice' by Mikhail Shchedrinsky for best documentary, and 'John Vardar vs the Galaxy' by Goce Cvetanovski for best animated film. On the red carpet, among others, were Ada Alberti, Gilles Rocca, Alessandro Tersigni, and the cast of 'Mare Fuori'; special UN rapporteur Francesca Albanese spoke about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
