Ariano FolkFestival 2025: "Common Roots"

The 29th edition of the Ariano FolkFestival was held from August 21st to 24th, 2025, in Ariano Irpino, in the province of Avellino, around the theme "Common Roots": a common thread dedicated to the bonds that unite the musical traditions of different continents.

The lineup opened on Thursday the 21st with the Brazilian artist Rogê, joined by the Italo-Japanese project Veeble and Moolycash. Friday the 22nd featured the Dutch band Another Taste, the Sicilian singer-songwriter Marco Castello, and the Bulgarian artist Ivo Dimchev, with the nightly Sonazone session entrusted to eleven percussionists with free admission. Saturday the 23rd saw the dialogue between tradition and digital innovation through An Dannsa Dub with Paolo Baldini, the Ghanaian ensemble Santrofi, and the Italian debut of the French DJ Sowe. Sunday the 24th, a day of popular celebration, opened with a midday carnival parade and a communal lunch, followed by the Spanish band Alamedadosoulna, the Mexican group Son Rompe Pera, and the British artist Joe Yorke.

Alongside the concerts, the VolksCamp campsite hosted the public for the entire duration of the event. The full pass was priced at 38.00 euros, with daily tickets ranging from 16.50 to 22.00 euros.
