Edition 2025 — Aria Consapevole
The second edition of the Aria Consapevole Festival was held on July 5 and 6, 2025, in Piazza San Pietro in Galatina, under the artistic direction of Stefano Rizzelli. The opening evening on July 5 brought great folk music to the square with Eugenio Bennato and Tony Esposito, accompanied by a folk orchestra, and saw the presentation of Sona Taranta, a manifesto song blending Salento tradition with electronic experimentation. During the event, the Cuore di Tufo and Donna Taranta awards were presented. The day of July 6 was dedicated to the Super Talk Essere Tarantata (Being a Tarantata), inspired by the studies of Ernesto De Martino and hosted at the Palazzo della Cultura. An edition that reaffirmed Galatina's role as the heart of tarantism and its bid for Italian Capital of Culture 2028.
