ARF! 2025 at the Mattatoio
For its eleventh edition, ARF! returned to the industrial spaces of La Pelanda — Mattatoio and the Città dell'Altra Economia, in the Testaccio district, with three days of meetings, exhibitions, and concerts with free admission.
The program included seven exclusive exhibitions, three lectio magistralis by international masters, and the new BEST NINE format, dedicated to nine selected graphic novels. Among the announced guests were Davide Toffolo, Zuzu, Sara Pichelli, Roberto Recchioni, Becky Cloonan, Licia Troisi, Otto Schmidt, Ivan Brandon, and Eleonora Carlini.
On the musical front, two free live concerts with Piotta and Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti. The Self ARF! area, the festival within the festival dedicated to self-publishing, brought together over seventy exhibitors, confirming the event's role as the main Italian showcase for comic book micro-publishing.
