Edition 2025 — Arena Corviale
The 2025 edition and the move to the new square
The 2025 edition of the Arena di Corviale marked an important milestone: the festival left its previous location to arrive at the new public square inaugurated just a few weeks earlier, between via Eugenio Maccagnani and the parking lot adjacent to via di Poggio Verde, in Rome's 11th Municipality. From July 9 to 30, 2025, twenty-two free-admission evenings followed one another, all starting at 9:15 PM with films in Italian.
The arena was opened by actor Edoardo Leo, who introduced the screening of Mia by Ivano De Matteo; on Thursday, July 17, it was Stefano Fresi's turn, guest-starring to present Ma cosa ci dice il cervello by Riccardo Milani. On Monday, July 14, the square hosted 24framealsecondo — Destinazione Corviale, a short film competition reserved for directors under 25 and dedicated to the memory of Francesco Valdiserri.
The Arena di Corviale was part of the third edition of Vivi il Cinema!, which between June 27 and July 30, 2025, brought a total of sixty-four free screenings to the arenas of Tor Bella Monaca, Santa Maria della Pietà, and Corviale, as part of the Estate Romana.
