Arancia di Ribera DOP Half Marathon

The 7th edition in 2025

The seventh edition of the Arancia di Ribera DOP Half Marathon took place on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Ribera, in the province of Agrigento, starting at 9:30 AM from Piazza Duomo. The half marathon, serving as the final stage of the 23rd Sicily Half Marathon Grand Prix and included in the FIDAL Bronze National Calendar, gathered over 330 athletes (281 men and 50 women), with 72 registered clubs and runners coming not only from Sicily but also from Lombardy, Piedmont, Veneto, and Puglia, as well as from abroad.

Run in the rain along the slightly undulating 21.097 km circuit, the race saw the triumph of Soumaila Diakite, an athlete from Universitas Palermo, with a time of 1h08'52", and Simona Sorvillo in the women's race. Category winners were awarded handcrafted ceramic prizes, a symbol of the traditions of the Ribera and Agrigento territory.
