Aquila d'Argento Award

The 39th edition of the Aquila d'Argento Award was held on August 21, 2025, in Piazza San Mauro in Viagrande, starting at 8:30 PM with free admission. Organized by the Municipality of Viagrande, the evening featured guest of honor, the Messina-born comedian Nino Frassica, accompanied by performances from the Lello Analfino Trio and the Catanese Chamber Orchestra conducted by Maestro Fabio Raciti. The show was hosted by Ruggero Sardo.

Among the award recipients, the recognition for excellence in the field of healthcare went to Mauro Sapienza, Medical Director of the Arnas Garibaldi in Catania. During the evening, the Nello Simili Award was also presented to third-year middle school students in Viagrande, alongside recognition for the area's outstanding students.
