The 2025 edition at Torre Mileto
On Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 5:30 AM, Apulia Antiqua brought one of its traditional sunrise concerts to Torre Mileto, in San Nicandro Garganico. The star was accordionist Luigi Gordano, who presented a recital showcasing the instrument's versatility through the centuries: from Johann Sebastian Bach's English Suite No. 5 to Rachmaninov's Vocalise, from the finale of Alexander Kusyakov's Sonata No. 6 to Jean Sibelius's Valse Triste, and finally the brilliant Soirée de Vienne by Alfred Grünfeld based on Strauss themes. The concert, with free admission, accompanied the sunrise over the Adriatic in the evocative setting of the coastal tower, confirming the Gargano stop as one of the most beloved of the festival directed by Giovanni Rota.
