Edition 2025 — Apuane Day
In 2025, the movement for the protection of the Apuan Alps once again enlivened the spring in the Apuan Garfagnana with hiking and awareness-raising initiatives around the Arnetola Valley and the themes of defending the territory from quarrying. These days preceded and prepared for the 2026 mobilization, confirming the growing attention toward the conservation of one of the most fragile valleys of the Apuan Alps.
Throughout 2025, Tuscan environmental associations and CAI Toscana kept the focus on the Arnetola Valley, in the municipality of Vagli Sotto (Lucca), with hikes and discussion sessions dedicated to the protection of the Apuan Alps and reflection on the impact of marble quarries. These initiatives, rooted in the Apuan Garfagnana territory, represented an important step in the mobilization process that culminated in the Apuane Day of May 2026.
