Apriti Cinema

The 14th edition of Apriti Cinema was held in Piazza de' Pitti in Florence from June 16 to July 27, 2025, confirming the festival's new location in front of Palazzo Pitti following its years at the Piazzale degli Uffizi.

The program, spanning over forty nights of free admission, alternated between feature films and documentaries in original language with Italian subtitles. The opening night on June 16 was dedicated to Leonardo Pieraccioni for the 30th anniversary of I Laureati, while special events included the preview of the documentary Mimo by Tara Vassalli (June 26) and sessions dedicated to director Luca Guadagnino, who was honored with the Fiesole Award to the Masters of Cinema. The Uffizi Galleries curated a mini-series of four films on the relationship between man and art.
