Edition 2025 — April 25th at the Brigata Maiella Shrine
The 2025 edition marked the 80th anniversary of the Liberation. The day opened at 8:30 AM with the opening of the exhibition "The Brigata Maiella," curated by the "Smemoranda" Cultural Association of Sulmona.
At 9:45 AM, the gathering took place at the Shrine's entrance arch, followed at 10:00 AM by the parade of municipal and association banners, accompanied by the Carabinieri Fanfare. The flag-raising ceremony and the wreath-laying in honor of the fallen followed, with a speech by the Mayor. At 10:45 AM, students from the I.I.S. "Algeri Marino" of Casoli presented the activity "Places of the Soul: Between Memory and Historical Identity."
The event was part of an interregional project dedicated to the Resistance, also promoted by the Spi Cgil Abruzzo Molise, confirming the role of the Taranta Peligna Shrine as a central site for the memory of the Liberation in Abruzzo.
