About Choral Music Concert

Every spring, the Giuseppe Gasparrini Municipal Theatre in Appignano, in the province of Macerata, hosts the Choral Music Concert, a free-admission review promoted by the Città di Appignano Band Corps. Choirs and polyphonic ensembles from the Marche region take turns on stage, with a repertoire ranging from sacred polyphony to great choral classics, from children's voices to operatic repertoire. An afternoon of music that unites associations, parish, and Municipality in a shared celebration.

A Celebration of Voice in the Heart of Appignano

The Choral Music Concert is one of the most cherished events of spring in Appignano, a small village in the province of Macerata known for its ceramic tradition and vibrant community life. The review is held at the Teatro Comunale Giuseppe Gasparrini, the historic town venue that has once again become the hub of the village's cultural life, and is promoted by the Corpo Bandistico Città di Appignano along with the Municipality of Appignano and the Parish of San Giovanni Battista.

Three Choirs, Three Musical Souls

The formula that has made the event recognizable brings together, in a single afternoon, choral ensembles that differ in voices and repertoire. Alongside some of the most acclaimed children's choirs in the Marche region, there are ensembles specializing in operatic repertoire and local choirs dedicated to popular music. It's a dialogue between generations and vocal traditions that allows the audience to journey through centuries of music in just a few hours, from sacred polyphony to great choral classics, and to the most beloved opera pieces.

An Event Rooted in the Territory

More than just a music evening, the Choral Music Concert is a moment of community: it brings together associations, the town band, the parish, and the municipal administration around a shared cultural project. Free admission makes it an event open to everyone, from families to choral music enthusiasts, and strengthens the bond between Appignano and other choral groups in the Macerata and Fermo areas.

Appignano and its Musical Tradition

The village, nestled in the rolling hills between Macerata and the Adriatic coast, boasts a long band and choral history. The Corpo Bandistico Città di Appignano is the driving force behind many of the town's musical initiatives, and with this review, it offers a quality stage for local ensembles. A visit to Appignano for the concert is also an opportunity to discover the historic center, the ceramic workshops, and the hospitality of this corner of the Marche region.

Choral Music Concert — edition 2026
